Our key school values of Community, Challenge, Creativity and Curiosity underpin our approach to teaching and learning as well as our relationships and interactions with each other.
Welcome to our school website. At Orbost Primary School we are proud of the achievements of the students and staff. Oure school offers an extensive education program in a caring and supportive environment.
Orbost Primary School has 4 key values that underpin “the way we do things around here”:
These values support our classroom teaching and learning as well as our relationships and interactions with each other.
Alongside our Values, the School Council, through the Strategic Plan and the Annual Implementation Plans, sets high expectations of student academic achievement, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy.
The school community works together to prepare our students to be ‘Life Long Learners’. We believe education is a partnership between the school and home. To this end parental involvement is valued and encouraged in program development, resourcing and active support for their children’s education.
Students’ learning needs are met through carefully prepared curriculum that caters for the individual needs of each student. We strive to challenge all students and provide support for those students who need it. At the same time we provide an engaging curriculum for all students that is relevant to their learning needs today, and into the future.
Orbost Primary School is a proud member of the Far East Gippsland Learning Alliance, which includes Orbost North Primary, Newmerella Primary, Marlo Primary, Goongerah/Tubbut P-8 School, Mallacoota P-12, Cann River P-12 and Orbost Secondary College.
